PROJECT DAIRY MAY 2005

May  2005

As I write this, its exactly 1 year since I first saw 172 at Carrington (16th May). Doesn't time go quick? Anyway, having met Chris Duffy last week (Also restoring two former YMS vehicles) I'm very optimistic for the future and want to thank Chris for his help.

Last weekend, May 7th I continued with the removal of the rotten framework around the N/s locker and now I've bought a welder, a new locker can be fabricated and fitted.

A new visitor this week has decide to make her new home in the wiring underneath the dashboard. Just been identified as a blackbird.

Speaking of wiring we are receiving some technical help from Andrew Sharpe as the wiring in some parts is totally rotten with age, or burnt out, as we found out today, i.e. wiring to floor heaters burnt out.

Andy's own bus is featured in Bus and Coach Preservation magazine July issue. We think its fantastic.
