11th February 2005

Wow! What a day. Steve's been to Barnsley today looking for parts at the scrap yards there.

Note to every restorer - go there as it's an Aladdin's Cave, but be prepared to get dirty.

I've managed to get some really useful bits and bobs,

1 x Rear Name glass complete with frame.

1 x Perfect Plaxton rear "Coffin" lens.

8 x Interior light fittings.

All this came from a very sorry looking old Panorama which had been converted into a camper "Van"!

On the way home after all that I popped in to see my old work colleagues at Rossendale Transport and was very generously given a brand new set of entrance door rubbers. I really must say a huge thank you to Brian Riley and and Andy Hill, this was a particular part which would perhaps taken ages to find.

Friday 25th/ Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th Feb

Had a very busy and productive w/end. I've now sanded down 6 of the 10 roof panels, chopped off the rotten and accident damaged front framework ready for newly fabricated metal to be welded in and begun the removal and replacement of the rotten front bulkhead panel and entrance door pillar.
